Day 1

Kilimanjaro | Grumeti Private Reserve

Fly into Kilimanjaro International Airport where you will be met by your host and transferred to the VIP Lounge before connecting to a private charter flight to Serengeti House. Settling into your beautifully-appointed luxury suite you will enjoy stunning savanna views and wildlife sightings direct from your private terrace.

Day 2

Grumeti Game Drive | Night Safari

Rise early for breakfast then climb into a six-seater, state-of-the-art Land Rover and head out into the pristine wilderness on your first game drive. Bordering the west of Serengeti National Park, Grumeti is known for its high concentration of wildlife found amidst a stunning landscape of rolling hills, woodlands and rivers.

Day 3

Grumeti River | Bush Barbecue | Wine Tasting

Grumeti is on the migration route and giant herds of animals, stalked by lions and other predators must cross the Grumeti River where crocodiles lie in wait. During this time our game drives will focus on thrilling river crossings, but the rich grazing lands around the river guarantee fabulous game viewing year round.

Day 4

Big Cats | Bush Picnic

Leaving the rolling hills of Grumeti behind we descend to the Seronera region of majestic Serengeti National Park on a full day safari. This area is known as the Big Cat Capital of Africa, due to its proliferation of lion, leopard and cheetah.

Day 5

Hot Air Balloon Ride | Anti-Poaching Observation Post

This morning you have the incredible opportunity to take game viewing to new heights – literally, as you soar over the savanna and acacia forests in a hot air balloon marvelling at wildlife below. Floating just above the trees you will have bird’s eye views of crocodiles wallowing in the shallows, zebra grazing on the plains and lions hiding in the bushes as they stalk their prey.

Day 6

Game Drive | Village Visit

Start your day with an inspiring yoga and mindfulness meditation session on an outdoor deck under the big blue African sky before heading out on a game drive. Aside from regular sightings of the Big Five, you can also expect to see aardvarks, giraffes, jackals, mongoose, monitor lizard and many primates including baboons, colobus monkeys and over 500 species of bird.

Day 7

Game Drive | Yoga | Farewell Dinner

Following an exhilarating morning game drive or a lazy morning by the pool we visit a local village where you will learn about Tanzanian culture and see valuable community outreach programs in action. Spend the afternoon at leisure enjoying all the facilities of Serengeti House or take a gentle hike with a private guide.

Day 8

Volcanoes National Park

Board your private charter flight to Kigali International Airport in Rwanda, then a private helicopter for the 30 minute flight to Ruhengeri Airstrip. From here you will be transferred to Kataza House, a short drive away. Settle into your luxurious private accommodation then explore your new surroundings with a gentle stroll through the flourishing on site nursery where you can enjoy a herbal brew in the tea house.

Day 9

Gorilla Trek

Wake at dawn for a light breakfast followed by a ten-minute drive to the Park Office at Volcanoes National Park. Here you will be allocated a gorilla family to visit and be briefed on details for your upcoming trek. Gorillas share 98% of human DNA, and spending time with them in the magnificent cloud forests of Rwanda is a rare privilege.

Day 10

Nursery And Garden Tour | Diane Fossey’s Gravesite

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast at the villa then take a private tour of the flourishing on site nursery where over 250,000 saplings have been planted to help reforest, rehabilitate and maintain the habitat of Rwanda’s endangered mountain gorillas.

Day 11

Golden Monkey Trek

Following a light breakfast, return to the Park Office at Volcanoes National Park for your briefing on your trek to see rare, highly endangered Golden Monkeys. A highly immersive experience, you will find yourself surrounded by up to 100 monkeys foraging in the forest and swinging from tree to tree.

Day 12

Village Visit | Kigali City Tour

Gain a fascinating insight into local life with a visit to a nearby Cultural Village. Here you will see traditional song and dance presentations, enjoy guided walks and home visits, join a pottery making class and have a chance to sample local cuisine and locally brewed banana beer.

Day 13

Departure Day

After a leisurely breakfast, enjoy your final hours at Kataza House before checking out at 11am. You will be transferred to the airstrip in time for your private helicopter flight back to Kigali International Airport.
